SPYF and workers of Sikkim organised grand May Day program at Golitar

SPYF and workers of Sikkim organised grand May Day program at Golitar Playground, Singtam with one point demand of minimum wage of Rs 21000

SPYF and workers from pharmaceutical companies, Hydo power companies, PWD workers, Temi tea Garden organised a grand May Day event at Golitar Playground, Singtam. The event saw the thick presence of workers from all sectors. The event saw the addresses from the workers and the members of SPYF. Besides, the workers performed dances and sang songs as well.

The gathering also signed a memorandum addressed to the Labour Minister of the state with the following demands:

1.       Increase of minimum wage to minimum Rs 21,000 per month.

2.       Withdrawal of all cases filed against the workers during the covid-19 pandemic.
