It is a historic day for India today. We, the citizens of India are overjoyed and proud beyond words as the Chandrayaan-3 successfully made a landing on the moon at 6:04 PM IST today. This is a historic day as India became the first country to land a satellite on the lunar South Pole. Exploring unchartered territories in space exploration, the Chandrayaan-3 mission has launched India as a new name in the field of space science, technology and research.
The Chandrayaan-3 mission was launched at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, and today, after 40 days, Chandrayaan-3 has successfully made a soft landing on the moon. This could not be possible without the courage and commitment of the Centre government under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, along with the entire team of excellent scientists at the esteemed Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). I congratulate the ISRO team and all the minds behind the Chandrayaan-3 Mission who have made the mission a grand success. Their dedication and hard work has taken our nation to new heights.
