Cohort mentors of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University of Excellence interact with Chief Minister

Chief Minister, Shri Prem Singh Tamang chaired an interaction session with cohort mentors of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose University of Excellence (NSBUoE), Chakung and State dignitaries at Samman Bhawan, today.

The session began with the welcome address delivered by ACS, Education, Shri R. Telang who also briefly presented the details about the NSBUoE.

The MD of Sikkim Binding Industries (SIBIN),  Shri  Neil Prakash Chettri and Member SIBIN, Shri Tenzing Pradhan gave a presentation on the master plan of the activities and current status of the University. They also mentioned the challenges which came across their path in the infrastructural development and other information related to the university. During the presentation, they also informed that the university will have an Earthquake-resistance infrastructure.

They also informed that the implementing agency has applied for the LEEDS Gold Standard which signifies a certification that creates healthy, highly efficient, cost-saving green buildings, improving indoor environment quality.

The Cohort mentors also suggested towards the best functioning and enhancement of the university in the state. They also said that they will put all efforts to assist the state for its outstanding development and the execution of the university up to the mark.

Likewise, the house was left for open discussions where everyone put forth their ideas, plans, and suggestions.

The Chief Secretary, Shri S.C Gupta expressed his gratitude to the State Guests (Cohort Mentors) for their visit to the state and all other members for their valuable presence, participation, and suggestions.

The meeting also had the gracious presence of the Minister, Education Department, Shri K.N Lepcha, Member of Parliament, Shri Indra Hang Subba, MLA Soreng-Chakung, Shri Aditya Golay, Advisor Education, Shri M.P Subba, Chief Secretary, Shri S.C Gupta, ACS Department of  Tourism and Civil Aviation and Commerce and Industries, Shri G.P Upadhyaya, Director, School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, Prof. Dr. P.S.N. Rao, Director, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Guwahati, Dr. Gautam Barua, Distinguished Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation, Kolkata, Prof. Jayanta Bandyopadhaya, Former Registrar, South Asian University, New Delhi, Dr. Achal Malik, Manager, Programme Design in Education at Tata Trust, Shri Kishore Darak, Founder and Managing Director-Tribulus Tech Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Shri Ashish Kumar, HODs of all the concerned department, Principal Chief Engineers, Chief Engineers, Additional Chief Engineers, Directors, OSD to NSBUoE, SIBIN Group and other officials.

The session concluded with the words of thanks delivered by OSD to NSBUoE, Education Department, Shri Praveen Kumar Pradhan.
